After missing their game on Monday night due to a sore back, Wilson Chandler could return to action as early as Wednesday when the Denver Nuggets face off against the Houston Rockets. It was Chandler's first missed game of the season, and he may have just needed to give his sore back additional rest to once again be at full strength.

The 30-year-old DePaul product shared that he is “95 percent” certain that he will see action in their next game, via Nuggets.com. He then added that he it has already been sore for weeks, and the night off on Monday was much needed.

“Yeah, it’s just a sore back,” Chandler said. “Just wanted to get a couple of days of rest. I’m like 95 percent sure I’ll play in Houston.”

“It’s been accumulating. It’s been pretty sore for a couple of weeks now.”

Wilson Chandler has been playing well of late, averaging 14.8 points, 6.0 rebounds and 3.3 assists in his last four games, and has bounced back from his slow start to the season. His return will be a huge boost to the Nuggets, who are slated to miss the services of their All-Star forward, Paul Millsap for about three months.

Will Barton is expected to be back to his sixth man role should the 6-foot-8 forward be able to suit up, to once again give the team some scoring punch off the bench. No possible minutes restriction has been reported if Chandler plays, and he may see the usual playing time he’s been receiving since the start of the season with the Nuggets.
