The Denver Nuggets were dealt with a big blow after point guard Jamal Murray suffered a knee injury in the final seconds of the fourth quarter against the Golden State Warriors on Sunday night. His teammate Nikola Jokic showed concern over the playmaker's situation but remained hopeful that it won't be a major injury and he will be able to be back sooner than later, per Ohm Youngmisuk.

Another Nuggets player in Michael Porter Jr. was also worried about Murray's condition and stressed his immense value to the team.

On the floor, Murray was initially going for a layup between two defenders as the Nuggets were trailing 111-104 against the Warriors with 50.6 seconds left in the game. Seemingly a non-contact injury, he had clearly had a bad landing on his left knee which caused him to crumble in pain on the ground.

After the incident, Murray declined to be put in a wheelchair as he hopped off the court with the help of the team's staff members. He exited the game with tallies of 17 points, four rebounds, and four assists through 33 minutes played.

With the 53-point explosion of Stephen Curry, the Warriors ultimately emerged victorious on a 116-107 victory as the Nuggets dropped back to 34-20 for the fourth spot in the Western Conference.

The exact details regarding the injury of Jamal Murray have yet to be determined but his expected absence will certainly be a huge blow for a Nuggets squad that is still trying to climb up the standings in the West. Hopefully, the injury won't turn out as bad so he can return back to action at some point this season.
