The Denver Nuggets are reportedly interested in bringing back small forward Andre Iguodala, according to Marc Stein of The New York Times.

The Golden State Warriors agreed to trade Iguodala to the Memphis Grizzlies, who are not looking to buy out the swingman's contract and would like to move him if he doesn't want to play in Memphis.

The Nuggets expect to introduce the promising Michael Porter Jr. this season after winning the West’s regular-season title — and are said to be interested in making an ambitious play to bring Iguodala back to Denver if Iguodala can extricate himself from Memphis.

Andre Iguodala played for the Nuggets in 2012-13. He averaged 13.0 points, 5.3 rebounds and 5.4 assists that season while shooting 45.1 percent from the field, 31.7 percent from beyond the arc and 57.4 percent from the free-throw line.

Iggy signed with the Warriors in the summer of 2013. We know the rest of the story. The former high-flyer won three titles with the Warriors and was the 2015 Finals MVP.

The Nuggets are probably hoping the Grizzlies don't find a trade partner for Iguodala and just waive him. If Denver can add Iggy to the team without giving up anything, that would be a huge win for the franchise.
