The Denver Nuggets are “increasingly unlikely” to shake up their starting lineup at the trade deadline, considering their recent surge, according to Nick Kosmider of The Athletic. The Nuggets were strong, but unconvincing — as Nikola Jokic struggled to show the same level of dominance through the first 20-some games of the season.

All of that has changed in recent games. Jokic has regained his near-triple-double mojo, Gary Harris has once again become engaged, and Jamal Murray is keeping his foot on the pedal.

Unlike other Western Conference contenders, Denver has yet to have a signature win or a moment that can solidify them as a team to be reckoned with, but that is perhaps the scariest part of it. The Nuggets are starting to hit their stride and are far from their peak performance, a quite ominous prospect for other contenders.

The Nuggets are 9-1 in their last 10 games after going through a rough road stretch that saw them losing five of six games — still rolling to a 23-9 record that has them chasing the West-leading Los Angeles Lakers, holding tight in second place and staving off the Los Angeles Clippers in third place.

Jokic has four triple-doubles during this 10-game winning stretch, including a 31-10-10 masterpiece against the Memphis Grizzlies. Harris has scored in double figures in eight of his last 10 games, despite missing Sunday's win over the Sacramento Kings.

Denver is slowly starting to look up, now no longer needing to make a change before the Feb. 6 deadline, though players like Malik Beasley, Monte Morris, and Juancho Hernangomez will get plenty of attention once it nears.
