The Denver Nuggets are enjoying a good start to their season with a 17-8 record that makes them fourth in the Western Conference. However, the thing that makes them scary is the presence of young players like Michael Porter Jr.

The young forward didn't play last year due to undergoing surgery to fix his back. He's played 16 games since then, putting up decent numbers for his rookie campaign. He's done enough in the limited sample size that he has shown that the Nuggets are banking on his potential this early on.

Real GM reported that the team is not planning to include Porter into any type of deals in the near future. They relayed the details revealed by ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. It seems like the rookie who was drafted in 2018 showcased enough during practices and during the limited playing time he gets to make the Nuggets front office bank on him.

He's averaging five points, three rebounds, and barely an assist in the nine minutes he gets a night. However, his per 36 numbers are pretty decent: he's getting 19 points, 11 rebounds, and two assists on the daily. He's easily going to become a starting point for the Denver offense if he reaches the potential that made him such a desirable prospect during his lone year in Missouri.

However, he isn't the only high-risk, high-reward prospect on Denver's payroll.

Bol Bol was drafted in the second round but is one of the more intriguing prospects of the recently concluded draft. He has the size of his father, Manute Bol, but also has the quickness and range to survive in the modern NBA landscape. It will take a while before he can get extended runs on the court, but his ceiling is promising enough.

If these two prospects do work out, the Nuggets have one terrifying roster that could play with the best the league has to offer.
