The Denver Nuggets made quick work of the New York Knicks en route to a 111-95 win. However, the fans at Madison Square Garden wanted to see a certain player from the opposing team step into the court and play.

They made it known, that they wanted to see Isaiah Thomas in action.

Or at least be released by the Nuggets.

The Nuggets decided to remove Thomas from the rotation a couple of games after he returned from injury. They believe that it was already too late for him to get to know the team's system, and he might just hurt their chemistry.

The 5'9 former All-Star has been dealing with a hip injury for the past two seasons, and although he admitted last month that he's feeling no pain for the first time since 2016, signs of rust have also been evident since his return.

Thomas believes he can still be an All-Star if he's given enough opportunity, but it seems that he won't be getting that shot with the Nuggets. Denver is already IT's third team since being traded by the Boston Celtics three years ago.

It is unclear if Thomas will still be able to get back to his All-Star form, especially with the kind of injury he had. But if there's one person who remains confident about his chances, it's IT himself.

He will become a free agent this summer. Maybe he will find a team that is willing to give him the chance he desperately wants.
