It looks like Denver Nuggets rookie Michael Porter Jr. is making good progress from his second back surgery. Just ask his teammate and veteran point guard Isaiah Thomas.

Porter, who was selected 14th overall in the 2018 NBA Draft, has yet to play this season as he recovers from back surgery. The 20-year-old, however, has been ramping up his workouts in practices and recently threw down a windmill dunk on Thomas.

Luckily for us, Nuggets small forward Jarred Vanderbilt got the dunk on video:

Michael Porter Jr. is 6-foot-10, while Isaiah Thomas is 5-foot-9. That wasn't a really fair matchup for Thomas, although it didn't even look like he was trying to contest the shot. IT literally just jumped and got posterized by the rookie.

Nuggets president of basketball operations Tim Connelly has not ruled out a return this year for Porter. Obviously, the organization is going to play it safe with him since the scoring forward has already underwent two back surgeries at such a young age.

Many believe Denver got the biggest steal of the draft in Porter. He was a superstar in high school and probably would have been the No. 1 overall pick in the 2018 Draft had he not gotten hurt.
