Denver Nuggets superstar Nikola Jokic's impressive showing in Game 2 against the Los Angeles Lakers went for naught after Anthony Davis buried a game-winner to give his team a 2-0 advantage in their best-of-seven Western Conference Finals series.

AD's dagger 3-pointer will no doubt be the subject of plenty of highlight videos in the coming days. Jokic made plenty of amazing plays down the stretch as well, but his efforts will likely be forgotten after Sunday's game didn't go his team's way.

After cutting the Lakers lead with long range bombs, The Joker gave Denver a one-point lead after a ridiculous one-handed tip in at the 30-second mark of regulation.

The 7-foot Serbian did a wonderful job boxing out LeBron James before bailing out Jamal Murray's air ball with that insane tip-in.

The Lakers got the lead back in the ensuing possession, but Jokic again answered the bell with a right-handed hook shot.

Nikola Jokic and Anthony Davis figured in an epic big-man back-and-forth in the final minutes of the fourth. They traded crucial buckets, as Jokic scored 13 straight for Denver while AD fired the Lakers' last 11 points.

Unfortunately for Jokic and the Nuggets, it was the Purple and Gold that got the last laugh after that heroic long-distance bomb closed the door for good in Game 2.

AD was rightfully named the Best Player of the Game with a game-high 31 points, nine rebounds and three blocks in 39 minutes.

Had that final shot been a tad short, it would have been The Joker who received the honors. Jokic finished with 30 markers, nine dimes and six boards in 39 minutes.
