Cleveland Browns wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr doesn't seem exactly sold that his long term outlook in Ohio. If that is the case, it will make a lot of sense for the Indianapolis Colts to make a run for him.

When Beckham was asked if he would like to be with Cleveland next year, he gave a vague answer about what his future might hold.

“No one knows what the future holds, like tomorrow,” Beckham said via ESPN. “I couldn't tell you what's going to happen.”

Beckham said it always seems like people are trying to move him onto a new team when he is under a contract with a new team.

“I feel like I've been here before, asking questions about the next team while I'm on a team already,” said Beckham, acquired from the Giants in a blockbuster trade this past offseason. “That's something I just tune out for right now. Catch me in the offseason and see what happens.”

A lot of those questions are asked because Beckham always seems to be frustrated on the sidelines. It has been a disappointing season for Beckham, who has caught 57 passes for 805 yards and two touchdowns.

Beckham still has four years remaining on his contract, but the Browns can release him with only $2.75 million in dead space, and although no indication is what they will do, they could still part ways with him. Trade would be the likeliest answer.

For the Colts, it makes sense to go after Beckham. To start, Indianapolis has a lot of cap space. Currently, the team is sitting with $42,615,988 in cap space, per Over The Cap, which is plenty enough to absorb Beckham's contract and still be big players in free agency during the offseason.

The Colts also need more playmakers outside. Beckham would be the perfect guy to fill in that role. T.Y. Hilton is a star receiver, but, recently, he has had problems staying healthy, and outside of him, there is a lot of inconsistency.  If Beckham was lined up on the other side of Hilton, one or both of them would be open, because no defense is going to take away both of them.

If somehow a defense did take away Hilton and Beckham, the Colts have standout tight ends Jack Doyle and Eric Ebron (2020 free agent). Having Beckham would open up the offense as a whole, and who knows, maybe he could be the difference in contending for an AFC South crown and making a Super Bowl run.
