Opera’s web browser for gamers, Opera GX, is releasing a new feature called Rage Report. This new feature will keep players up to date with daily gaming frustrations reports in the US and UK.

The world of gaming, especially in the online multiplayer aspect, can become very frustrating for many players for various reasons. It could be because of a bad performance in-game, griefing teammates, difficult boss fights, and many other causes. The goal of Opera GX’s Rage Report is to help reduce gamer rage for a better playing experience.

How exactly will the browser’s new feature help in reducing gamer rage? Opera GX is teaming up with  Dr. Alok Kanojia, a Harvard-trained psychiatrist and leading gaming mental health advocate. Dr. K aims to share some tips and reminders for players to keep their anger in check. Aside from that, Rage Report also aims to help gamers manage their gaming-related frustrations and stress. Finally, to increase awareness about the issue of gamers' mental health issues, Opera GX is “releasing” Anger Controllers, a fake promo for an imaginary set of controllers designed to be super durable, and withstand even the worst bouts of gamer rage.

Dr. K and Cr1TiKaL will have a live discussion on gamers' mental health on June 6 at 7 PM PST in GX Corner inside the Opera GX browser. After the conclusion of the discussion, Oper GX will then publish these tips and tricks for players to browse during their free time.

It’s heartwarming to know that organizations like Opera have efforts and programs meant to raise awareness for important health issues for gamers. This Rage Report is proof that there’s still hope in the toxic world of frustrated gamers. Hopefully, the collaboration between Opera GX, Dr. Alok Kanojia, and the super chill Cr1TiKaL will help reduce the negativity in the gaming world.
