The Oregon Ducks have been making a splash in the realm of college basketball for years. It is why it should come as almost no shock that it just landed a top-tier prospect on the recruiting trail.

2018 recruiting class talent, Louis King, has decided to go Mighty Ducks and commit to Oregon.

Get it? Quack. Quack.

A 5-star, top-20 prospect out of the 2018 talent pool, Louis King chose the Ducks over a slew over other blue-blood college basketball programs.

King made his announcement on the mean streets of Twitter. He had a few interesting things to say about this entire thing.

“It’s been a tough, strenuous process,” King said, “but today makes all of that worth it. I’ve been blessed with great opportunities.”

“I would like to thank each of them for all the time and effort they put into my recruitment,” King said. “I would like to thank my coaches and my teammates that have pushed me and helped get me to this point in my career. My friends for all their love and support, but most of all I would like to thank my family, who has been by my side through it all.”

King is Dana Altman’s second commit in 2018, joining four-star big man Miles Norris, a top-75 recruit in the class.

The program still has two scholarships open for what is already turning out to be a stellar recruiting class.

Oregon heads into the 2017-18 season hoping to stay near the top despite losing key players from a Final Four caliber roster.
