Preparations for the upcoming season are reaching a peak in this period. Most players know their team and put work on their off season training to improve. Coaches are forming their plans. And teams are taking care of all technicalities. September, the last month before the restart of the season is knocking on everyone's door. Vacations are over, relaxation time is allocated where needed but NBA players are hitting the gyms hard.

A prime example, Serge Ibaka took twitter to show a part of his off-season gym routine. Newly arrived to Orlando straight from OKC, he wants to bring out the best of him. Expectations are definitely high for a player that costed a Victor Oladipo trade.

Magic's who have created a very strong front court with Bismack Biyombo, Serge Ibaka and Aaron Gordon will look to dominate in that area from new season. From the looks of it they do have the talent and skills required to do that. Definite conclusions though can not be made before the season even starts.

For the season to start, all players will have to be allocated their jersey numbers. A minor issue some would believe but for the players who tie their legacy to a number it is not that simple. As such, some players opted to choose new numbers where others remained faithful to their old ones.

According to Philip Rossman-Reich from orlandomagicdaily :

Mario Hezonja will no longer be No. 23, switching his jersey number to No. eight. That is the same jersey number he wore for the Croatian National Team and FC Barcelona before then. Channing Frye wore No. eight last year when Hezonja joined the team.

C.J. Wilcox will wear No. 23 this year.

D.J. Augustin chose No. 14. Bismack Biyombo will wear No. 11 — Aaron Gordon kept No. 00. Jeff Green selected No. 34 and, as previously announced, Serge Ibaka will switch to No. 7 from No. 9 with Oklahoma City.

Everything starts to make a full circle again. Training camps will soon start and before we know it NBA 2016/2017 season will start.
