The wild and fantastic off-season ride has finally come to an end. Most teams have locked in their rosters for the 2021 season while many veterans have chosen to retire. Unfortunately, there are cases where some skilled players get overlooked in the roster shuffle and fail to find a team for the new season. The EU teams are ready for the next season but these players will not be joining them.
Nemesis
After careful consideration and a lot of thinking I have decided to not compete in the upcoming Spring Split. I have had plenty of chance to join a team but felt like the presented opportunities were not of high enough interest to me. More updates coming soon.

Tim “Nemesis” Lipovšek helped pick up the pieces of Fnatic when its old Mid Caps left for G2 Esports. He debuted in the LEC in 2019 and quickly distinguished himself as one of the greatest solo laners in the region. Fnatic never won a title with him in the lineup but they remained a constant threat despite losing a key member of the roster. Nemesis made two trips to Worlds with Fnatic but a dip in his performance led to an exit after two mixed years.
The Slovenian Mid told his fans in a stream that he received no offers from LEC teams. Nemesis has proven his ability both on the LEC stage and at Worlds but no LEC team wanted to pin its hopes on him. Nemesis also stated that late opportunities were offered but they failed to reach his expectations. He promised more updates for fans soon but there's no telling if he'll continue to play in the LEC or if he will play for a different region.
Cabochard
It's been a 5 years adventure full of emotions. Our League of Legends history is forever linked to your name @CabochardLoL. Thank you for your commitment as a profesional player, from the toplane of our heart #Cabane123 pic.twitter.com/GaNPYbNxLV

Team Vitality rocked the LEC scene with French Top Lucas “Cabochard” Simon-Meslet manning its Top lane. Unfortunately, after five years of mixed success, including one amazing Worlds run, Cabochard has chosen to explore opportunities with other teams. He eventually left the organization officially on December 9, 2020 but he was not able join a team prior to the conclusion of the roster shuffle.
Crownshot
I'm really grateful for all the love and support during the split, and I hope youll keep supporting me whatever I do ❤️❤️❤️

Back in November, we covered the stunning lack of team offers for skilled Carry Juš “Crownshot” Marušič. Despite being one of the most lauded players in the 2020 LEC season, Crownshot decided to explore free agency. Unfortunately, this resulted in Crownshot being absent from any LEC or LCS lineup for the 2021 Spring Split. Maybe we'll see Crownshot back in the next split or a different season. It's a shame to lose such a gifted player.
Prolonged absence from the Rift
Esports was never a glamorous industry. Players give their all for the chance to fight at the highest level of their respective titles. League of Legends is no different. Numerous players have tried and failed to claim a Summoner's Cup.
Hopefully, there will be less cases of teamless players in future Splits. Players need the opportunity to showcase their abilities to the fullest. These three players duck out of the next Split but fans hope they'll make a triumphant return.
