Indiana Pacers big man Domantas Sabonis is day-to-day moving forward due to a lingering foot injury.

Sabonis is dealing with plantar fasciitis and hasn't touched a basketball in six days, per J. Michael of Indy Star.

Sabonis made his first All-Star team in 2019-20 for the Pacers. He's undoubtedly one of the most skilled big men in the NBA today and arguably the second-best player on Indiana behind star shooting guard Victor Oladipo.

Before the 2019-20 season was suspended in March, Sabonis was averaging 18.5 points, 12.4 rebounds and 5.0 assists for the Pacers. Arvydas Sabonis' son was also shooting 54.0 percent from the field and 72.3 percent from the free-throw line.

The Pacers have already clinched a spot in the 2020 playoffs. With that said, they can focus on getting back into game shape and knocking off the rust that was created after such a long layoff.

Oladipo will play in the first scrimmage game, so it appears he's going to suit up for the seeding games after previously saying he was going to sit out. However, Indiana is going to need Sabonis for the team to make a deep run in the 2020 playoffs.

For the seeding games, the Pacers will face the Philadelphia 76ers, Washington Wizards, Orlando Magic, Phoenix Suns, Los Angeles Lakers, Miami Heat and Houston Rockets. Indiana and Miami will play each other twice. All eyes are expected to be on Jimmy Butler and T.J. Warren in those two games.

Sabonis has career NBA averages of 12.1 points and 8.0 rebounds in 291 regular-season games with the Oklahoma City Thunder and Pacers.
