Indiana Pacers shooting guard Victor Oladipo suffered a season-ending knee injury back in January. And though he's still without an official timetable for return, team president Kevin Pritchard says Oladipo is determined to come back as a better player.

“In Victor style, he promised he will come back 200-300% better than he was,” Pritchard said during the Pacers' postseason press conference on Wednesday.

Oladipo's official diagnosis was a ruptured quad tendon, which is the same injury that Tony Parker once had. Though it's serious, Oladipo is making great strides in recovery. He underwent successful surgery on January 28th, but it's still uncertain when he'll be able to take the floor in an actual game setting.

According to several reports, Oladipo was seen shooting threes from a training table while wearing his cast. Another post noted that he was seen taking a few shots as he slowly walked around the three-point line.

“Vic is doing phenomenally,” Oladipo's trainer told The Athletic in March. “He is going to shock everybody with how he’s doing. He’s way ahead of schedule with his rehab process. He’s like Wolverine, man. He recovers quick.”

Losing Oladipo was a tough blow for the Pacers, who were eliminated from the Eastern Conference Playoffs in the first round. In 36 appearances with Indiana this season, the former No. 2 overall pick racked up averages of 18.8 points on 42.3 percent shooting from the field (34.3 percent from beyond the arc), 5.6 rebounds, 5.2 assists and 1.7 steals in 31.9 minutes per outing.

“I'm a very optimistic person and very confident that I'll be able to come back better than ever,” Oladipo told The Athletic in February.

For now, Pacers fans will have to patiently wait for Oladipo's recovery to take its course. Hopefully, he'll be back on court sooner rather than later.
