The sports world has been swamped with analytics. ESPN and other sports websites have been highlighting all types of unconventional stats. Some of the stats are total reaches. While some are stats that are worth noting for. Indiana Pacers guard Malcolm Brogdon surprised the NBA world by signing with the Pacers this summer. Brogdon was seen as a crucial building block for the Milwaukee Bucks in order for them to compete for NBA titles for years to come. But he’s already made himself right at home in Indiana within two games.

Brogdon made NBA history this weekend, becoming the first player to record 20 point, 10 assists games in his first two contests with a new team.

In his first game with the Pacers, Brogdon notched a 22 point, 11 assist line against the Detroit Pistons. Against the Cleveland Cavaliers Saturday night, he registered a 30 point, 10 assist stat line. What made Saturday night so impressive was he did it on 12-18 shooting. For a team who did so much more with less last season, Brogdon is a big addition to Indiana.

The Pacers will becomes even more dangerous once Victor Oladipo is available. Oladipo is still recovering from a knee injury he sustained in January of this year. The Pacers envisioned Brogdon and Oladipo as a backcourt that could dominate the East. Oladipo is expected to evaluated again in about a month.

But for now, let’s toast Brogdon’s accomplishments. Maybe he can continue churning out 20-10 games as he keeps the Pacers afloat until Oladipo returns.
