The Indiana Pacers may be without starting point guard Malcolm Brogdon for a while. The fourth-year pro injured his hip after contesting a Khris Middleton shot in the second quarter of Wednesday's game against the Milwaukee Bucks.

Per The Athletic's Scott Agness Brogdon felt something in his hip after the play and the team medical staff is still trying to figure out exactly what it is.

The former Rookie of the Year is excelling in his first season with Indiana after a sign-and-trade deal sent him from the Bucks to the Pacers. The team inked the 27-year-old to a four-year deal worth $85 million.

So far this season, the former Virginia Cavalier has averaged 16.6 points, a career-high 7.3 assists and 4.8 rebounds per game on 44/31/90 shooting splits.

Malcolm Brogdon does have a history of injuries, however, as he has played more than 65 games just once in his first three seasons and has only appeared in 47 of the Bucks' 61 games.

The fourth-year pro has also did a solid job of helping keep the Pacers alive in the Eastern Conference while star shooting guard Victor Oladipo missed the first half of the season while recovering from an injury.

Through 62 games, Indiana holds the fifth seed in the East with a record of 37-25.
