Thursday morning's MRI exam revealed a ruptured quad tendon for Indiana Pacers shooting guard Victor Oladipo, who left Wednesday night's 110-106 win over the Toronto Raptors at the 4:05 mark of the second quarter, according to Shams Charania. The injury will see him miss the remainder of the season, as the Pacers look to find a way to retain their third seed in the East.

Victor Oladipo played in only 10 minutes before being stretchered off the floor and replaced by Bojan Bogdanovic, hoping to maintain their eight-point lead after their leading scorer headed to the locker room for further examination.

Raptors forward Pascal Siakam was undercut by Victor Oladipo during the play and turned back angrily, but soon realized he had slipped and required medical attention, at which point the rest of his Indiana teammates rushed to his aid.

“I didn’t see what happened,” said point guard Cory Joseph, according to Scott Agness of The Athletic. “Obviously he was grimacing in pain so it was serious.”

“I saw his kneecap was just pushed up and I knew something wasn’t right then,” Tyreke Evans recalled, having extended an arm to help him up, before realizing the damage. “I didn’t talk to him. I know he’s going through a lot right now.”

Co-captain Thaddeus Young saw the play develop from behind, as the last player to come to his aid, immediately calling the trainers to rush to his aid.

“I think he took a false step and then I think his legs buckled,” Young said. “Then I saw him on the ground so I ran straight to him.”

Oladipo has remained in good spirits since the injury, most recently taking to his Instagram story to calm the nerves before his examination.
