Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle reacts to a rumor that Indiana is ready to blow up trades amid a difficult season.

According to Scott Agness of Fieldhouse Files, Carlisle conversed with Malcolm Brogdon, Caris LeVert, and Myles Turner in his office for about 18 minutes after Shams Charania's tweet addressing reports of a potential rebuild by the Pacers, centered around the same players.

Once the players returned to the court, Carlisle shed some light on that specific conversation.

“It’s just communication,” he said. “Letting those guys know that we’re trying to win games. We want to make this thing work. Beyond that, it’s just basic communication and talking to your top players.”

As the Pacers are currently struggling within the Eastern Conference, Carlisle reiterates the team's overall mood when it comes to losing games, as well as his desire to work around what he's got.

“We’re all disappointed, but we all know that the way this league is, when things are tough, you’re never that far from being on track or vice versa. We got a little bit of momentum last night. We’ve got to work to build on that and that’s how we got to do business.”

“No. Listen, I’m an hour-to-hour, day-to-day guy,” he said. “I like this roster. These guys are wonderful people, damn good players. We’ve had some bad luck with a lot of different things. Now it’s injuries and some other stuff,” the Pacers head coach stressed.

With the Pacers currently at 13th in the East, with a 10-16 win-loss record, it is pretty tricky for the team to make a considerable playoff push this season, especially since most of the teams above have near-identical records. The question is, will Indiana conduct massive roster shakeups before the deadline?
