On Sunday night, the Indiana Pacers defeated the San Antonio Spurs 94-86. This is the second time that the Pacers have beaten the Spurs this season, and it's the first time for Indiana to sweep its regular season series against the Spurs since the 1994-95 season.

Although the Spurs have missed their franchise star Kawhi Leonard for much of the season, they are currently ranked fourth in the Western Conference with a 30-18 record. Nonetheless, the Pacers defeated the Spurs in a grind-it-out victory. Victor Oladipo scored 19 points to give his team the 2-0 season lead over the Spurs, which is a rare accomplishment for any team.

Cory Joseph, who was traded to the Pacers in the off-season, faced off against his former team on Sunday night. As it turned out, Joseph would eventually hit the dagger 3-pointer to seal the win for the Pacers. The Spurs are undoubtedly one of the best teams in the NBA. However, the Pacers needed a win to push themselves higher in the Eastern Conference standings. Indiana is currently sixth in the Eastern Conference with a 25-22 record.

This electric season for the Pacers is a far cry from the initial expectations the team garnered when Paul George was traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder. Now, Oladipo has become a star while he leads the team in scoring. Also, the Pacers are getting outstanding contributions from their other starters and role players such as Thaddeus Young, Darren Collison, and Lance Stephenson.

Up next on the Pacers' schedule are the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday night. Hopefully, this incredible win will set the tone as the Pacers look to build on an already excellent regular season.
