With the Brooklyn Nets set to host the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday, Nets head coach Steve Nash has heaped praise on one particular player on the opposing team. According to the first-year coach, he is under the impression that Malcolm Brogdon is currently playing at an All-Star level.

Nash, who himself is considered as one of the greatest point guards in league history, had some high praise for Brogdon (h/t Tony East of the West Side Community News):

It's hard to argue with Nash's statement here, especially considering how Brogdon has been nothing short of outstanding for the Pacers to start the 2020-21 season. In 24 games played thus far, the former Rookie of the Year winner is putting up averages of 21.7 points (on 44.7 percent shooting), 4.0 rebounds, 6.7 assists, and 1.3 steals, while also connecting on 2.6 triples per game on a 38.7-percent clip.

Brogdon has been a key cog in Indiana's success this term, and his tremendous play has been one of the main reasons why the Pacers are currently sitting at the fifth spot in the East with a 12-12 record.

For what it's worth, Brogdon was not part of the Top 10 Eastern Conference guards in the first batch of All-Star votes.

Brogdon and Co. face a tough test ahead on Wednesday, though. They get to face off against one of the top teams in the league in the Nets, who themselves are in a bit of a bind right now. Brooklyn is in the midst of a three-game losing skid, and are in desperate need of a win.
