Guard TJ McConnell has reportedly agreed to a deal with the Indiana Pacers, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

McConnell will sign a two-year deal with the Pacers worth $7 million.

This past season with the Philadelphia 76ers, McConnell averaged 6.4 points, 2.3 rebounds and 3.4 assists while shooting 52.5 percent from the field, 33.3 percent from beyond the arc and 78.4 percent from the free-throw line.

The Pacers will be without All-Star shooting guard Victor Oladipo likely until December or January. Indiana agreed to a deal with Milwaukee Bucks restricted free agent Malcolm Brogdon and small forward Jeremy Lamb. The Pacers did lose Thaddeus Young to the Chicago Bulls, Wesley Matthews to the Bucks, Cory Joseph to the Sacramento Kings and Darren Collison to retirement.

McConnell has career averages of 6.4 points, 2.9 rebounds and 4.7 assists in 314 games. The Pacers got swept by the Boston Celtics in the first round of the 2019 playoffs. Without Oladipo, Indiana didn't have anyone to hit big shots in the fourth quarter. McConnell won't be that guy for the Pacers, but he brings good intensity to the team and will give the team guard depth.

Sixers fans will surely miss McConnell. He was always a fan favorite because of how hard he played on a nightly basis.
