It looks like the slamdunk contest won't include Indiana Pacers star Victor Oladipo this year — or ever again.

It is unclear what Oladipo's reason is, but deciding not to participate in the dunk contest “ever” is a bit surprising.

Victor Oladipo participated in the said All-Star event in 2015 and last year, but he failed to win the contest.

While his decision to no longer participate in the dunk contest is his own choice, Oladipo is might miss this year's All-Star game as well. He's currently placed fifth among Eastern Conference guards in terms of the number of fan votes, trailing Kyrie Irving, Dwyane Wade, Kemba Walker, and Ben Simmons. He still has a shot though, but only if the coaches and media personnel will vote for him.

If in case Dipo won't be seeing action during the All-Star festivities, he can just turn his focus towards the Pacers' campaign this season. They are currently ranked third in the Eastern Conference standings and if they continue to win, they will earn homecourt advantage at least during the first round of the playoffs.

Victor Oladipo's 19.2 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 5.3 assists per game for the season is the main reason behind Indy's success. He is now seen as the franchise's cornerstone as they try to build a team that can contend for the title.
