Indiana Pacers star Victor Oladipo vows to “go full throttle” when he makes his much-awaited return to the court.

Oladipo is on track to return from his knee injury on Jan. 29 against the Chicago Bulls:

“I'm not gonna ease my way into anything,” Oladipo told Shams Charania of Stadium during a recent sitdown interview. “I'm not gonna second-guess myself or try to take my time. I'm gonna go full throttle and I'm gonna be aggressive. I'm gonna go at dudes and I'm not gonna shy away from anything because that's not who I am.”

Many have praised the way Oladipo has attacked his rehabilitation process, incessantly working to get himself back into playing shape and regain the caliber of play he has been known for during his two seasons with the Pacers.

Oladipo is returning from a torn quadriceps tendon, a rather rare injury for an NBA player, but one that takes a while to recover from and plenty of patience to conquer the process.

The Pacers are 25-15 and in fifth place in a tight middle-of-the-playoff-pack race, just a half-game behind the fourth-seeded Toronto Raptors and a half-game ahead of the sixth-seeded Philadelphia 76ers.

Indiana is bound to put some minutes restrictions for Oladipo upon his return, but how he chooses to play during his return is solely and completely up to him. Playing with aggression during his limited time on the court will help him assess how far along he has come since first suffering the injury, as well as giving the Pacers a clearer picture of what they can expect from him the rest of the way.
