First-time All-Star and reigning Most Improved Player Victor Oladipo has finally reached the level that was expected of him when he was drafted second overall in the 2013 NBA Draft. You can finally consider him a bona fide star in the league.

Oladipo showed off his best display of talent last season when he recorded 23.1 points, 5.2 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and a whopping 2.4 steals per game. Despite the success, he doesn’t plan on resting on his laurels.

From an interview with J. Michael of Indianapolis Star:

“I push the envelope. I play nothing safe now,” Oladipo says. “I work too hard to not push the envelope. I used to be conservative but that really didn’t get me anywhere.”

It looks like the gloves are totally coming off for the 26-year-old Pacers guard. The obvious growth that he has already shown might be a prelude to even more success for the team and his rise to superstardom.

Oladipo’s Pacers had an unexpected playoff run last season. They kept things interesting and brought a LeBron James-led Cleveland Cavaliers squad to the limit before losing that first-round series in seven games. T

A risk-taking attitude has definitely paid off, and it would be unwise to not go all in for Oladipo this upcoming season as the Pacers try to take the next step. Whatever the future may hold for him, the only gamble worth taking is the one he made on himself.
