The Indiana Pacers will be without the services of All-Star Victor Oladipo in Wednesday night's game against the Charlotte Hornets due to right knee soreness, according to J. Michael of the IndyStar.

This marks the second consecutive game Oladipo will have missed due to his knee ailment. The Pacers are downplaying this injury, which indicates the team is being cautious with his return to the lineup.

With Oladipo ruled out, Pacers head coach Nate McMillan will likely call on Tyreke Evans to fill the gap at shooting guard. Bojan Bogdanovic, Doug McDermott and Darren Collison could also see an uptick in their usage rates.

The Pacers arrive in Charlotte this time riding a three-game winning streak, all at home. But they've also been hot on the road, rebounding from an 0-2 start to win five of their last six.

The Pacers have relied on their depth in Oladipo's absence. In fact, three reserve players recorded double-digit scoring figures in Monday night's win over the Utah Jazz, including point guard Aaron Holiday.

Without a doubt, Oladipo is an important piece of Indiana's rotation as the team's unquestioned star. In his 16 appearances with the Pacers this season, the 26-year-old has racked up averages of 21.4 points on 44.0 percent shooting from the field (34.5 percent from beyond the arc), 6.6 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 1.6 steals in 32.4 minutes per outing.

Whether or not Victor Oladipo will be cleared for Friday's matchup against the San Antonio Spurs is still unknown.

Wednesday night's Pacers-Hornets game is scheduled to tip inside the Spectrum Center at 7:00 p.m. ET.
