Indiana Pacers shooting guard Victor Oladipo will play against the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday.

There were rumors going around that Oladipo could sit out the real games after playing in the scrimmages over the past couple of weeks, so Pacers fans are certainly relieved by this latest bit of news.

Oladipo only appeared in 13 games for the Pacers before the season was suspended in March. He missed the beginning of the campaign recovering from the serious knee injury he suffered in 2018-19 against the Toronto Raptors at home.

Oladipo averaged 13.8 points, 3.2 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game for the Pacers prior to the hiatus. He also shot 39.1 percent from the field, 30.4 percent from beyond the arc and 78.0 percent from the free-throw line.

The Pacers have already clinched a spot in the 2020 playoffs. After the Sixers game, Indiana will take on the Washington Wizards, Orlando Magic, Phoenix Suns, Los Angeles Lakers, Miami Heat (twice) and Houston Rockets.

Oladipo will use the seeding games to get back into All-Star form, as Indiana won't be successful in the postseason if the high-flyer isn't playing at an elite level.

In the 2019 playoffs sans Oladipo, the Pacers got swept by the Boston Celtics in the first round. Oladipo, when healthy and in rhythm, is one of the best fourth-quarter scorers in the NBA. With that said, odds are Indiana won't have trouble closing games this time around with Victor Oladipo back in the fold.
