Indiana Pacers star Victor Oladipo will be making his return from a ruptured quad tendon against the Chicago Bulls on Tuesday, just over a year after the injury initially happened.

Given that Oladipo has not had live game action in over a year, one has to wonder just how long Pacers head coach Nate McMillan will let him go in his first game back.

McMillan says there will be a minutes restriction, which is no surprise, but he isn't dropping any hints as to how long Oladipo will play nor whether he will start or come off the bench, according to Pacers sideline reporter Pat Boylan. It makes sense that McMillan and the team's coaching staff wants to keep Oladipo's minutes down as he feels his way back from a serious injury ahead of Indiana's upcoming playoff push.

There is no doubting how much more dangerous a healthy Oladipo will make Indiana in the second half of the regular season..

When he is right, Oladipo is one of the best two-way guards in basketball and has already shown he can perform on the big stage, as he led a Pacers team that pushed LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers to seven games in the first round of the playoffs in 2018.

However, Oladipo has not played in over a year, so the impact he will have, at least in the short term, remains to be seen.

Indiana acquired Oladipo in the Paul George trade with the Oklahoma City Thunder back during the summer of 2017, and in Oladipo's first season in Indy, he made his first All-Star team after averaging 23.1 points, 5.2 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 2.4 steals over 34 minutes per game while shooting 47.7 percent from the floor, 37.1 percent from three-point range and 79.9 percent from the free-throw line.
