The Indiana Pacers are a team with quite a bit of money to spend in free agency and quite a few holes to fill on their roster. They need a point guard, which many think will end up being Ricky Rubio, and they also need help on the wing. It appears that they have a wing target in mind already.

According to a report from Marc Stein of the New York Times, the Pacers are “seriously interested” in signing free agent wing Jeremy Lamb.

Lamb is a player that quite a few teams have interest in. He has some consistency issues at times, but there is no denying his ability to score the basketball. Indiana needs more scoring in a big way.

One thing that this could mean for the Pacers is that free agent forward Bojan Bogdanovic may not be returning to the team, but that is not a sure thing just yet.

During the 2018-19 NBA season with the Charlotte Hornets, Lamb ended up averaging 15.3 points per game to go along with 5.5 rebounds and 2.2 assists. He shot 44 percent from the field and knocked down 34.8 percent of his three-point attempts. There is still room for him to grow as well.

At 27 years old, Lamb would fit nicely into the Pacers' system. He could even compete for a starting job in Indiana depending on what happens with Bogdanovic.

Expect to see Indiana be extremely aggressive this offseason. They are looking to make moves and Lamb could end up being one of them.
