Brooklyn Nets superstar Kevin Durant set off a firestorm of rumors and speculation when he informed the team that he would like to be traded. One of the teams believed to be a preferred destination, the Phoenix Suns, have some assets, like forward Mikal Bridges and center Deandre Ayton, who would make sense in a potential package for the Nets superstar. However, an outside player could also be involved in the Durant-Ayton madness: Indiana Pacers center Myles Turner. Bleacher Report's Jake Fischer has the latest.

If Ayton signs into Indiana's cap space, that could actually impact Durant's trade request. Even an Ayton sign-and-trade to Indiana would complicate the cleanest path for Phoenix to acquire Durant—Ayton's free agency. In that scenario, it's unlikely that Phoenix and Indiana could create a combined package that would entice Brooklyn to part with Durant.

Pacers center Myles Turner has not generated significant traction on the trade market this offseason, sources said. A theoretical trade return of Turner, multiple Suns wings and draft capital still wouldn't appear to satisfy the Nets, according to sources.

Fischer says that if Ayton signs with the Pacers or if Phoenix executes a sign-and-trade with Indiana, it could complicate things for the Nets.

If the Suns big man landed in Indiana, they would surely then look to move Myles Turner. Potentially including him in a Durant trade with the Suns and Nets would make the most sense.

However, Fischer reports that a potential trade of Turner, Suns wings, and draft capital still wouldn't be enough to appease the Nets in a Durant deal. Brooklyn is asking for a massive haul in exchange for their superstar.

It seems like Myles Turner is likely to get dealt at some point. Don't expect the Pacers big man to be involved in the Durant-Ayton madness, though.
