The Indiana Pacers are bringing in two more players to training camp deals, and will give them a chance to compete for a roster spot. Free agents DeQuan Jones and Trey McKinney-Jones, both signed deals recently, but terms of their contracts were not disclosed per team policy, according to Pacers.com.

“The Indiana Pacers announced Thursday they have signed 6-8 forward DeQuan Jones and 6-5 guard Trey McKinney-Jones to contracts. Per team policy, terms were not disclosed.”

Dequan Jones was undrafted back in 2012, following his college career at Miami. However, he was signed by the Orlando Magic that season, and appeared for them in 63 matches, averaging 3.7 points and 1.7 rebounds in 12.7 minutes per game. He is also a G-League veteran, but has spent the last three seasons playing overseas with Pellacanestro Cantu of the Italian Serie A and Chiba Jets of the Japanese NBL.

Trey McKinney-Jones on the other hand, also went undrafted in 2013 after playing for Miami as well during his college days. He is a G-League veteran having played two seasons with the Fort Wayne Mad Ants, before deciding to take his talents overseas and suit up for BCM Gravelines in France and Maccabi Kiryat Gat of the Israeli Basketball Premiere League.

The Pacers currently have stacked shooting guard and small forward rotations, which will make it difficult for both players to make the final cut. However, if they’ll be impressive during their training camp stint, either of them could pull off the improbable or at least reward themselves with another G-League nod to help them prepare better for a chance to make an NBA roster in the future.
