The NBA 2K Players Tournament is well underway, and some of the league's top players are putting on a show for everyone to see. Indiana Pacers star Domantas Sabonis played Los Angeles Clippers big man Montrezl Harrell for the first round, and there were a number of funny moments between the two.

However, one of the funniest moments of their game involves Sabonis missing a jumper he usually makes while on 2K. What made the moment funnier was how the Pacers All-Star trash talked himself in the process.

ClutchPoints got a video of the moment, and it was nothing short of epic:

Pacers fans who followed Sabonis' progress this season will understand why this self-deprecating jab was hilarious. The Lithuanian big is especially deadly from mid-range and can easily make a shot that was as wide open as the one the virtual Sabonis got.

According to Basketball Reference, the far mid-range area (between 16 feet and the 3-point line) is the place where Sabonis took the third-most shot attempts at 117. He's incredibly efficient in the area, making 49 percent of his shot attempts there. The only area where he's more prolific is at the rim at 68 percent.

Leaving Sabonis open like that would usually mean an easy two points for the Pacers. However, it's understandable if he would miss the shot since it is a game after all. It would be easier to not get the perfect shot timing at 2K. Moreover, the latency of his connection may have also had a factor in his miss.

Regardless, it's nice to see Domantas Sabonis, Montrezl Harrell, and the rest of the competitors at the Players Tournament have fun. While it's not the real thing, at least NBA fans have something entertaining to watch in the meantime.
