The Green Bay Packers were one of the best teams in football in 2019. They went 13-3 in the regular season, tied for the second-best record in the entire NFL.

However, something happened to them that seems to happen a lot. They followed up a fantastic regular season with a pretty disappointing playoff run.

Green Bay's 13-3 record was good enough for the second seed in the NFC. That meant they did not have to play in the Wild Card round.

The Packers then met the Seattle Seahawks in the divisional round and did manage to beat them.

Then came the NFC Championship game though. And in that contest, the Packers were dismantled by the San Francisco 49ers. They attempted to come back towards the end, but truthfully, they were exposed.

How will they respond next year? Here are three bold predictions for the Packers in the 2020 NFL season.

3. Top-5 Offense

The Packers were one of the best teams in the NFL last season. However, the offense was nothing spectacular.

Don't get me wrong, the offense was not bad. But 18th in total offensive yards 15th in points scored per game isn't going to excite anyone.

Especially considering they have Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams.

Now the Packers are adding even more weapons though. Devin Funchess is a sneaky good addition at wide receiver. He adds a secondary big threat and makes the group featuring Allen Lazard and Marquez Valdes-Scantling look a lot more threatening.

Funchess gives the Packers another big reliable target. And although they lost Jimmy Graham at tight end, Jace Sternberger seems ready to step up.

The running back situation is looking great with Aaron Jones as well.

In short, Green Bay has all the pieces to succeed offensively. Rodgers is going to respond with one of his best seasons in a long time, and that will lead Green Bay to one of the top offenses.

2. Aaron Rodgers Wins NFL MVP

Speaking of Rodgers having one of his best seasons in a long time. How does an MVP sound?

He's already won the award, and although his numbers have been down, he's almost completely eliminated turnovers.

And while people have talked about Rodgers' decline over the last few seasons, you can't deny the help. Green Bay hasn't exactly given the quarterback a lot of weapons.

It's not like they've gone out and given him a ton of weapons this offseason, but there's a lot to feel positive about.

And although people have said Rodgers has not been the same, let's look at his past healthy seasons.

Rodgers has played in 16 games three of the last four seasons. In those three years combined he's thrown for 12,872 yards, 91 touchdown passes and just 13 interceptions.

Let's not pretend like Rodgers doesn't still have it. He's on a team that proved it can win a lot, and he's hungry.

Give me Rodgers with any team and he's going to put up numbers. Put him on a team with a few legitimate weapons – why can't he win MVP?

1. Packers Earn Super Bowl Berth

Packers, Allen Lazard, Aaron Rodgers

So you've got a top-5 offense and an MVP Rodgers. All that on a team that won 13 games and a playoff game last year?

That sounds like legitimate Super Bowl contenders to me.

Green Bay might not have the most stacked team in football. They definitely have some flaws both defensively and offensively. However, they have Rodgers. They have Rodgers – and Adams – and Jones and a few more pieces.

This could definitely be the year we see the Packers back in the Super Bowl.
