Aaron Jones has had a hell of a season in the NFL. The Green Bay Packers running back has had a stellar showing in the last two games, including a four-touchdown game against the Detroit Lions in Week 2. His performance in Week 2 and 3 helped the Packers recover from a brutal showing against New Orleans in their opener to go up 2-1.

That performance from Jones was partly inspired by his father, who unfortunately passed away in April due to complications from COVID-19. The Packers RB has been wearing a pendant with his father's ashes in game to celebrate him ever since. Now, Packers equipment “guru” Red Betty gave Jones a more secure way of keeping that pendant on him. (via Lily Zhao)

“Love this. Aaron Jones is still wearing the football pendant that contains his father’s ashes. Said #Packers equipment guru Red Batty was able to sew a pocket inside his jersey where he can keep it safe. He wore it vs the Niners and will keep doing it moving forward.”

The adjustment came after the Detroit game, where Jones lost the pendant on the field as he was scoring his first touchdown. Packers trainer Bryan Engel was able to recover the pendant, thankfully. That scare, though, prompted Betty to create a little pocket for Aaron Jones to make sure his prized possession could stay safely with him during the game.

Honoring his late father though this is a meaningful gesture for Aaron Jones, but props to Red Betty for going the extra mile. Understanding that the pendant means a lot to the Packers running back, he took it upon himself to make sure the pendant never gets lost. I'm sure this gesture means a lot to Jones.

The Packers are set to face off against the 1-2 Steelers on Monday Night. Expect Jones to have an inspired performance on the field, especially with the memory of his father securely on his body.
