Green Bay Packers starting running back Aaron Jones may be unavailable for action in Week 7 against the Houston Texans.

Jones suffered a calf strain in practice Thursday, and while the injury isn't serious, his availability could boil down to not being decided upon until Sunday, via NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

Jones has overall had a successful season for the Packers through Week 6, having a decent amount of production in the backfield—up until his latest outing against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. During that game, he rushed for 15 yards off 10 carries. He only averaged 1.5 yards per rush, a notable drop from his usual averages.

He's currently averaging 5.2 yards per game for the season. His highest output came in Week 2 against the Detroit Lions as he rushed for 168 yards off 18 carries, resulting in one touchdown.

The Packers have been trying to stay on one accord with all their offensive firepower that's been held back due to injuries. Though they marched into a Week 6 matchup with the Bucs that they were favored to win, Tom Brady came out and made short work of the Packers in the first half. After numerous defensive stops as well, the Packers were unable to get back in the game, allowing the Bucs to walk away with the victory.

Aaron Rodgers was followed by a dark cloud wherever he took place on the field against the Bucs. He had arguably one of his worst games to date, throwing two crucial interceptions that prevented the Packers from being able to mount a comeback.

After only one bad game, however, the Packers will look to resume their dominance against the Houston Texans in Week 7, a squad coming off a loss to the Tennessee Titans in Week 6.
