The Green Bay Packers legend Aaron Rodgers was caught up in hot water over a COVID-19 controversy. The legendary quarterback tested positive for the virus, after which a video of him saying he was ‘immunized' went viral. Amid all of that, the NFL is now also investigating the Packers over possible violations of COVID-19 guidelines. Additionally, other NFL executives spoke harshly about the ongoing situation.

As ESPN reports, the NFL will be reviewing footage from the Packers facility to see whether the mask mandate, enforced for unvaccinated players, was upheld. Additionally, ESPN also reported comments from other executives around the league when it comes to this controversy. One of their sources stated:

That's B.S. … What's going on in Green Bay, that's not what teams were told by the NFL. Our players wore masks all the time. We made our guys that weren't playing wear masks.

An NFL internal memo was also cited, which stated that all unvaccinated members of the team with bench area access, excluding active players, must wear masks. In all of the preseason games, Aaron Rodgers did not wear a mask.

Rodgers will be out for a couple of weeks due to the virus itself, but it remains to be seen whether the Packers will be more severely punished. They are currently 7-1 and have a meeting with the Kansas City Chiefs (4-4) this Sunday.
