Aaron Rodgers has had a few good connections during his time with the Green Bay Packers but it looks like he and Davante Adams could go down as one of the best. When the Packers selected Adams in the second round in 2014 they had high hopes and he has lived up to all of them.

Adams already has 557 yards and six touchdowns and Rodgers thinks a big reason he has so much success is that he is impressive getting off the line.

“His releases,” Rodgers said via ESPN. “He catches the ball really well. Obviously, he’s a tough release matchup, because he’s able to mix up his releases. … He’s a tough cover because he can run and threaten you down the field. He’s obviously a start-and-stop guy. He’s just so tough to guard at the line of scrimmage. You can’t press him, because he can beat you outside and get on top, or he can stick you outside and beat you inside and run away from you.”

The Packers wide receiver corps this year are young and Rodgers likes to spread the ball around to them all. When he needs the big catch especially down in the red zone he is turning to his favorite target. and Adams very rarely lets him down.

It hasn't always been easy for Adams since coming into the league and during his second year he really struggled. There were even some questions if the Packers made the wrong decision drafting him in the second round but he has silenced all the doubters the last few years.
