The newly-signed extension of Green Bay Packers nose tackle Kenny Clark became the headline of the team's first day of training camps. The four-year veteran recently agreed to a fresh four-year, $70 million contract extension to remain in Wisconsin.

Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers also spoke of Clark with high regard, saying that he has “been an underrated player for us.”

“He is such a solid force inside,” Packers gunslinger Aaron Rodgers said. “His game has expanded every year. His ability to pass run has been the biggest jump, he has always been really stout at the point of attack in the run game. I think that teams that play him know how dominant he can be.”

The former UCLA Bruins talent remained healthy throughout last season and started in all 16 games for the Packers. His increased role led to better numbers in which he recorded six sacks and 31 solo tackles. He capped his productive season with his first Pro Bowl appearance in 2019.

He hopes to continue anchoring the Packers' defensive line against their opponents' reloaded offensive rotations. The team is looking to build on their impressive 13-3 finish from last season and make it deeper in the playoffs.

His presence on the defensive end will hopefully contribute to the club's cause of defending their NFC North division title. The Packers are also raring to get back to the Super Bowl stage for the first time since 2011.

Week 1 action will commence for the Packers as they visit their division rivals, Minnesota Vikings, on September 13 at the U.S. Bank Stadium.
