Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has nothing but respect for Cincinnati Bengals rising star Joe Burrow, who continues to prove he is one of the NFL's elite.

Rodgers and Burrow had quite the showdown in Week 5 last Sunday, when both QBs threw for two touchdowns in the game. The Packers came out with the win in the end, albeit in OT (25-22) after a strong fightback from the Bengals.

Following such terrific display of football (except for the placekicking in that game), Rodgers couldn't help but share his admiration for Burrow. In fact, after their bout, he talked to the young Bengals signal-caller and gave him some words of wisdom.

“I'm a Joe Burrow fan and I enjoy the way he goes about his business. I enjoy the way he plays with confidence. I told him [after the game]: Slide. I said ‘you're damn too talented, you've got so much in front of you to accomplish in this league, so sometimes you've got to slide,” the Packers superstar said in his latest appearance on the Pat McAfee show.

Aaron Rodgers, however, admitted that he understands why some quarterbacks like to take hits at times. According to the Packers QB, it just gives them the feeling that they are playing football.

“You feel like you’re a part of it when you take a shot. … I don’t feel like sliding makes you less tough it’s just sometimes the smarter thing to do,” Rodgers added.

It's certainly one great piece of advice from Rodgers, and he certainly knows what it takes to maintain his longevity and dominance in the NFL. If Joe Burrow takes the lesson to heart, he could very well be on his way to superstardom as well.
