Preseason football is lightwork for established NFL quarterbacks. Rarely do they play more than a quarter — or even a drive — or run their more complicated offenses. But, it's still an NFL game, and Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is excited to play it; particularly because he's in a new offense and his preseason debut will be against the stingy Baltimore Ravens defense in Week 2.

After Tuesday's training camp session, Rodgers stated some goals for the game, as he said per USA Today.

“Healthy, efficiency, communication sorted out the right way with the plays, coming in and delivering to the line any adjustments within the plays, and obviously be efficient.”

The main thing, however, is the rebuilt offense in the eyes of new head coach Matt LaFleur. They will get a fair test of where they are against the Ravens, who pride themselves with stout defensive play.

“It’ll be a good test for our first time running this offense in another stadium, on the road, against a really good defense. I feel comfortable, but we’re going to be able to handle a lot because they do have a great scheme, and they bring a lot of different things at you, great personnel.”

Rodgers and LaFleur likely won't be looking at the scoreboard much on Thursday in Baltimore. Instead, his limited playing time will about how he works within the new offense. From play-calling, timing, pre-snap reads, to post-snap reads, it's vital that he feels comfortable. Luckily, he noted that he does.
