The Green Bay Packers will miss the NFL playoffs for the second straight season. The Chicago Bears are now the NFC North division champions after taking down Aaron Rodgers and company on Sunday leaving the storied franchise in Wisconsin to think about the final two weeks of the regular season.

Rodgers, who suffered a groin injury while running for his life against the Bears defense in Week 15, wants to play the final two games of the season even though the team has been knocked out of playoff contention. This might not be the way the team or interim coach Joe Philbin wants to go, and that might not be sitting well with the superstar quarterback, according to Lloyd Johnson of Express.

Rodgers also revealed he would “probably” have a problem with Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst or interim coach Philbin if they gave Kizer the minutes.

The smart move for the Packers would be to rest the perennial Pro Bowler who has dealt with injuries all season long and recently signed a massive contract extension. However, if the situation causes a rift between the superstar and the front office it may prove to be costly for the team.

In the final two weeks of the regular season, the Packers will go head-to-head against the New York Jets and Detroit Lions. Both teams that will also be on the outside looking in on the NFL playoffs this year.

It'll be interesting to see how things pan out in this situation and whether Rodgers or DeShone Kizer will be under center on Dec. 23.
