Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers went into their bye week on a high after their dramatic come-from-behind win over the San Francisco 49ers at Lambeau Field.

Rodgers had to do so while still wearing a knee brace on his injured left knee. However, he is hopeful that when he returns for Week 8 against the Los Angeles Rams, he’ll finally be able to shed the brace once and for all.

“I just told (the) doc I’d love to take the brace off after the bye, but we’ll see how I respond tomorrow and this week and next week,” Rodgers said per Curtis Crabtree of Pro Football Talk. “Probably get some sort of image of it again, but that would be nice to be feeling great come next week Wednesday.”

Rodgers has had to wear a brace after he suffered a purported bone bruise and a sprained knee in Green Bay’s season opener against the Chicago Bears.

Despite the big brace, Rodgers was still able to take off and get a key 21-yard scramble during their incredible comeback against the Niners.

A big part of Rodgers’ game is his mobility, which he uses to evade the pass rush and extend plays outside the pocket. Obviously, he hasn’t been able to do that as much this season due to the injury.

But hopefully, he is able to heal up just enough during the Packers’ upcoming break to the point where he no longer needs to endure playing with such an impediment on his knee.
