Green Bay Packers star quarterback Aaron Rodgers is set to enter his 13th year in the NFL, which logged plenty of mileage on his arm up to this point of his career.

Although there haven't been any concerns stemming from any arm issues, Rodgers is hoping that the break away from throwing could pay him dividends this upcoming season, according to Rob Demovsky of ESPN.

“I worked hard in the offseason on my body and my core strength,” Rodgers said. “I took a break from throwing for about a month. I kind of let my arm come all the way back. It’s felt good this year, as usual. But my legs, I think, have felt better the last couple years than maybe the previous couple years, probably due to the training and maybe eating better. I think when your legs are underneath you and you’re throwing from the ground up, you’re probably going to be a little more accurate.”

The 33-yard has yet to show any level of decline in his game, in fact, he's coming off a MVP-caliber season that saw him throw for 4,428 passing yards on a 65.7 completion percentage with a league-leading 40 touchdown passes with just seven interceptions while holding a 104.2 passer rating. It marks his second single season with at least 40 touchdown passes and seven or fewer interceptions, which he is the only player in league history to achieve that mark even once.

Rodgers is arguably one of the best quarterbacks in the league that has several more productive years ahead of him and he's making sure of that with his increased strictness on his diet and work regime. It's something that has helped keep New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady at the top of his game despite now being 40 years old.

The hope here for Rodgers is the time away from throwing this offseason will help keep his arm and body fresh throughout an entire season. If so, he could be in store for another MVP-worthy season.
