The Green Bay Packers have begun practicing, along with the other 31 teams, and they still have some roster decisions to make. After the team's first practice together in 2020, Aaron Rodgers and Matt LaFleur both spoke to the media about the team's energy thus far.

While speaking to reporters, LaFleur exclaimed that he won't name the starters on the offensive line just yet:

“Well, we are in Day 1 without pads. We are going to keep shuffling that line along until we feel good about it. At least for the next couple weeks, it’s definitely going to be a competition each and every day,” said LaFleur.

On the other hand, Rodgers doesn't appear to be overly concerned with the uncertainty surrounding the offensive line unit:

“We haven’t even put pads on yet. There is a lot of time,” Rodgers said. “It’s gonna be a different feel, not having to go through preseason games. We have a good dilemma when you got so many guys that can play and have started games.”

Similar to the other teams in the NFL, the Packers were unable to workout together for much of the offseason due to COVID-19. Nonetheless, Rodgers is impressed with how the team looks to begin training camp:

“Today was sharp. Today the energy was really good I felt. Matt was stressing that before practice. There were not a lot of guys on the ground and we were moving around pretty good. That’s how we wanted to look.”

Throughout the offseason, much was made about Green Bay's decision to basically stay with the status quo at the wide receiver position.

Even though the Packers still have question marks at receiver — besides Davante Adams — Rodgers seems to have a positive attitude as practices ramp up.
