Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has never been one to shower praise upon other players, however, it appears he could not help himself when it came to wide receiver Jake Kumerow and fullback Danny Vitale.

Both players have made quite the impression of Rodgers throughout training camp. According to Zach Kruse of the Packers Wire, Rodgers credited Kumerow for the catch he made at the Packers' Family Night.

“The thing you look for, the throw I hit him on Family Night, against Jaire, was his late hands. That’s just hard to teach,” Rodgers said after Tuesday’s practice. “The trust to wait until the last second to put your hands out there against a great defender who is basically playing his hands and not seeing for the football. You can’t teach that.”

Rodgers added that Vitale has also caught his eye during practice.

“He’s been very impressive,” Rodgers said. “He’s made multiple plays where you’ve been, ‘Wow, he’s going to be on the team.'”

There had been plenty of concerns regarding the state of Rodgers' supporting cast. Although head coach Matt LaFleur indicated that he would like to rely on a more balanced approach on offense, he will first to ensure his star quarterback that there are other players capable of making something happen.

Rodgers already has a bonafide No. 1 wideout in Davante Adams. The question remains which receiver is going to step up as a solid complementary option. Despite his modest 2018 campaign, it is clear that Kumerow has started to earn Rodgers' trust.

Meanwhile, Vitale seems to be justifying the Packers' decision to bring a fullback on board when the position has seen its value diminish tremendously in recent years. Fortunately, his versatile skill set could earn him an integral role on offense moving forward.
