The Green Bay Packers didn't do much this offseason in terms of bettering the offense from a roster standpoint, but that hasn't deterred Aaron Rodgers. Despite the lack of aid he's received on offense, Rodgers is optimistic about the Packers in 2020.

On Friday, the quarterback spoke to the local media for the first time since the 2020 NFL Draft, and discussed his expectations for Green Bay in the upcoming season:

“I think some of the beauty in expectations is that there are lot of comments about us being not a great 13-3 team last year, so I don’t know if we’re going to be a favorite or be the team that’s expected to dominate the NFC … I mean, I love our chances. I love our team. The key will be to find a way to recreate that chemistry and come together. But that gets figured out when we get back together in training camp.”

Of course, while addressing the media, Rodgers admitted that he “wasn't thrilled” with the Packers' decision to draft quarterback Jordan Love. Still, the veteran signal-caller believes Green Bay has a talented roster already in place.

Just a season ago, the Packers fell just one game short of reaching the Super Bowl. Over the course of the offseason, they've added Devin Funchess and rookie A.J. Dillon to their offense but little else.

With Rodgers turning 37 years old later this year, it's apparent that he's on the final stretch of his career. While many people are writing off the Packers as contenders, Rodgers is confident Green Bay can compete for a title.
