Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers had some interesting remarks about his team's performance in Sunday's 28-22 loss to the Minnesota Vikings, noting that there may have been a “lack of effort.”

“I don’t think we overlooked anybody,” Rodgers told reporters, via NBC Sports. “I don’t know if we handled the elements as well as we have in years past. It was obviously cold and windy. I don’t know if we played with the same type of energy that we needed to. We had fans the last two weeks, no fans this week. I don’t know if that had something to do with it, but I didn’t feel like we played with a lot of energy today.”

Rodgers had a solid outing against the Vikings in Week 8, completing 27 of his 41 passes for 291 yards and three touchdowns. He spread the ball around to several receivers, including Robert Tonyan (five receptions for 79 yards) and Davante Adams (seven catches for 53 yards and three touchdowns).

Rodgers had a shot at winning the game for the Packers in the closing seconds, but he was strip-sacked by Vikings defensive end D.J. Wonnum on the final play, preventing what would have been a Hail Mary attempt. Minnesota recovered, halting Green Bay's comeback effort.

This game wasn't about Rodgers, though. It was about the Vikings rushing attack, which was led by Dalvin Cook.
