There weren't too many things for the Green Bay Packers' fan base to get excited about in the NFC Championship Game against the San Francisco 49ers. However, there is one bit of franchise history that happened that will unfortunately be overlooked due to the team's disappointing loss.

Aaron Rodgers has had an impressive NFL career and has also had an impressive postseason career. As noted by the official Twitter account of the Packers, Rodgers has now passed Brett Favre for the most passing touchdowns in the postseason in franchise history. He now has 40 passing touchdowns in the playoffs.

Needless to say, the record doesn't mean a whole lot right now, but it is still special for Rodgers. He won't be able to enjoy it anytime soon due to the loss. Green Bay simply did not show up in the first half against the 49ers, heading into halftime down 27-0 and not being able to come back from that deficit.

Despite the loss, Rodgers did everything in his power to get the win for the Packers. He completed 31 of his 39 pass attempts for 326 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions, although one of the attempts was a desperation heave towards the end of the game. You simply can't ask for much more.

Moving into another record for the Packers is always special for any player. Rodgers has become one of the most iconic players in franchise history and will never be forgotten by the organization or the fans. Unfortunately, he only has one Super Bowl appearance in his career with Green Bay.

Expect to see the Packers go into the offseason looking to add more weapons for Rodgers. He only has a few more years left in the NFL and they need to do everything they can to help him pursue that second elusive championship.
