Following their first playoff absence in eight years, the Green Bay Packers are focused on bouncing back in the 2018 NFL season get back to contending for the Super Bowl.

This majorly center around the play of star quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who is coming back from an injury-plagued campaign that was profoundly impacted by fractured collarbone. Rodgers has been able to take the field in preseason action, but it appears that he will be on the sidelines until the start of the season after he was placed back on the scout team offense, according to Rob Demovsky of ESPN.

Aaron Rodgers is back to running the scout team offense, which could mean his preseason game work is over after the one series last week against the Steelers. Rodgers did scout team in preseason Week 1 and did not play.

Rodgers had an encouraging brief appearance in preseason action against the Pittsburgh Steelers where he completed 2-of-4 attempts for 35 yards with a touchdown. His touchdown pass came on an impressive play as he was able to navigate in the pocket to avoid pressure while letting off an accurate throw in coverage to Pro Bowl tight end Jimmy Graham for an eight-yard connection. This is something that the Packers are hoping that can be featured heavily in the 2018 season.

Green Bay is simply taking the precautionary approach with the situation to ensure that Rodgers is ready to give it a go for Week 1 action against the Chicago Bears. The team is hoping that he can once again lead them to success with his arm with another trip to the playoffs and possibly much further than that.

This should see plenty of preseason action in the final two games ahead for both Brett Hundley and DeShone Kizer as they vie for the backup job behind Rodgers.
