Aaron Rodgers and Brett Favre have had a very interesting history with the Green Bay Packers. Apart from each other, they have been two of the best quarterbacks that the NFL has ever seen. Together, they went through quite a bit of drama after Rodgers was drafted to be the heir apparent to Favre.

For those who do not remember, Rodgers sat behind Favre for the first few years of his career. In that time period, Favre was having trouble deciding whether he wanted to play again after each season. Favre would retire, give the reigns to Rodgers, and then choose to unretire and take over as the starting quarterback.

While some may think that the drama would have ruined any relationship the two could have had in the future, that has not been the case.

In a recent interview on the Mike Tirico Podcast, Rodgers revealed what his relationship with Favre has been.

“Now I consider him a close friend. We talk a bunch. I went down and visited with him for a couple of days in the offseason and that has really meant a lot to me to find that friendship with Brett again and honor him as a friend and former teammate.”

There may have been some animosity between the two back in the day, but those days are a thing of the past.

Rodgers has become arguably the greatest quarterback of all-time. He still has plenty of time to improve his case for that title. Favre is also a top-10 quarterback of all-time to many.

Green Bay has been blessed with back-to-back legends under center. Very few teams have that kind of good luck.

All of that being said, this is a story that will make fans in Green Bay happy. Favre has worked his way back into the good graces of the franchise after playing for the Minnesota Vikings and is becoming somewhat of a mentor for Rodgers as he looks to lead the Packers to another Super Bowl.
